Outdoor Lighting Ideas

Outdoor lights come in a variety of different ways.  Every part of the landscape and outdoor area can be lit somehow with some type of fixture.  Whether you have a new outdoor area or an existing landscape, adding lights around that space should be a must.

 

Adding lights to your walls:  Installing lights to the underside of the wall cap creates a look to your walls.  The light shines down to highlight the your wall materials texture and color.   If spaced properly, the entire wall can be highlighted an look amazing.

Adding lights for a walkway: Adding path and area lights to walkways are not only great for safety reasons but if spaced properly and placed in the right area they can also great.  For instance; installing the lights incorporated in a planting bed, near plants or rocks can highlight those elements as well as provide light to the walkway.

Adding lights to spotlight a specific area:  Spotlights or flood lights are a great way to either highlight focal points in your garden or on your house.

 

Adding lights to your steps:  Installing step lights not only looks beautiful but it provide an element of safety, especially if there is only one or two steps.
